Sushi Ichijo in Higashi Nihonbashi, Tokyo - a return visit

I recently paid a second visit to this Higashi-Nihonbashi sushi-ya, this time at lunch for the Y10,000 set. The sushi was just as good as before, and still in the same rustic style. The hamaguri, kurumaebi, and kohada were the standouts this time.

I was served 13 pieces of nigiri and a maki, so found the set to be an incredible value, especially since I was under the impression that I would only be getting 10 pieces! Sushi Ichijo has recently received some negative reviews from food bloggers who feel that they were overcharged. I did not experience this whatsoever; if anything Ichijo used to charge too little and the current pricing remains an excellent deal.

You can read my full review of my first visit to Ichijo here.

Below you will find images of the sushi served during this recent lunch visit.
