Tsukiji Wonderland

With Tsukiji's closing fast approaching, we are sure to hear a lot about the market in the coming months. One event I'm looking forward to is the release of the "Tsukiji Wonderland" documentary.

Directed by Naotaro Endo, the film is making the festival circuit rounds now, and will be released in Japan on October 16th. A long list of well-known interviewees feature in the documentary, including chefs Takashi Saito of Sushi Saito, Jiro Ono of Sukiyabashi Jiro, Ryuichi Yui of Kizushi and Theodore C Bestor, author of the seminal "Tsukiji: The Fish Market at the Center of the World".

Positive reviews have started rolling in, and I personally can't wait to see it. Check out the trailer below.
